LYRICS:
Driving down a dirt road
Number 353
Had a run in with a unmarked car
My brother came, tried to rescue me
But the way that things are changing lord
I could be lost forever
Killin’ cause they’re black men
Killin’ cause they’re brown
Killin’ cause they’re different
‘cause they made a sound
When everybody’s guilty
There can never be a crime
‘Cause if you don’t look like me
I got all the reason in the world
To be as innocent as a criminal
You say, lock ‘em in cages
And kill them if they cry
You can kill them if they stand up
‘Cause living is the crime
When everybody’s guilty
There can never be a crime
‘Cause if you don’t look like me
I got all the reason in the world
To be as innocent as a criminal
Then there was an old man
He had tomahawk eyes
With cold hand shaking, he said
“When everybody’s guilty
There can never be a crime
‘Cause if you don’t look like me, boy
You bring all the trouble in the world
Even friends like mine
IF we never raised hands up
Now we got all the trouble in the world
As innocent as a criminal——-
