Holley and I have been collaborating some lately, and it all started with her asking me to help her with a video EPK. After that I went to her cd party and was given a copy of “Euphorics”, produced in part by Kyle Andrews and Chris Grainger – both phenominal in their own right.
This EP takes Holley’s unique approach to song-styling, and give it a totally new sonic landscape in which to live. I love the way her vocals are produced on this record. She has such a sweet subtle voice, and I don’t know if it’s the way Chris recorded or mixed this thing, or if it’s the way the rest of the production supports it, but it’s the best I’ve heard her vocals compared to other music of hers I’ve heard.
I highly recommend this EP to anyone looking for something fun and uplifting to listen to this summer, or if you’re just looking to dive in a little deeper in a catalogue of an artist that’s beginning to hit a sweet spot in her own writing process. This record is good for just about any occassion!
Holley, well done. Check out more about the this and other works by Holley Maher on her website. Check out Holley’s EPK here.
