I’ve just finished mixes on the new EP!! Holley Maher came in last minute and tracked vocals with me at my home studio, and Deron Johnson (produced the last EP, “Listen | Joshua”) tracked a bunch of great pieces for the record too.. In fact – we have a totally alternate version of “Lighthouse” that I’ll make available a little later down the road, and another song that I can’t wait to show off.
So, I’m releasing this thing on iTunes and Spotify, the regular distribution outlets – but I’m also giving it to HitRecord.org… HitRecord is a company owned and operated by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his brother. They allow artists and other creatives to upload materials (music, movies, scripts, whatevs) to the site, and then others come along and collaborate with their material to extend, expand, and enhance the production! It’s an awesome artist community that supports exactly what this record, my documentary, and most of my other stuff has all been about!
I plan to do more production like this later this year – acoustic pieces that stand alone, and still leave A LOT of room for more production to be added! REMIX my jams! I’m SO looking forward to what people come up with. This is such a cool organization, and this project is WIDE open for as much as people want to add, and whatever people might want to do to rearrange.
