Lamar Williams Jr. and I have know each other for a long time. He is one of my favorite people to write with, and one of my favorite singers to listen to! And I may be biased, because he’s one of the people I consider a real brother, my family.
Without getting into Lamar’s whole playbook (gotta save something for the episode) – he’s performed with some of your favorite artists. He has a familial connection with The Allman Brothers, his dad played bass for the group for a time. These days Lamar tours with acts including Oteil Burbridge, Trouble No More, and the Allman Betts Family Revival, and in the past worked with The New Mastersounds and North Mississippi Allstars… just to drop a few names.
